UZH Accessible: Implementation and monitoring
University of Zurich is committed to the inclusion and barrier-free participation of its members with disabilities and chronic illnesses. In light of the increased societal expectations for accessible universities in recent years, as well as the legal requirements that must be implemented, UZH has set itself the goal of significantly improving the accessibility of its structures and services and has launched the strategic project UZH Accessible for this purpose.
UZH Accessible
Therefore, action plans for the systematic removal of barriers were developed in collaboration with UZH students and staff with and without disabilities, numerous internal units, and external bodies. The measures are assigned to three sub-projects (SP) and address various aspects of accessibility:
- TP1 Structural accessibility (implementation in phases until 2041)
- TP2 Technological accessibility (e-accessibility and teaching materials, implementation until 2030)
- TP3 Cultural and organizational accessibility (implementation until 2030)
