Inclusion

UZH is committed to promoting equal opportunities and inclusion and fully subscribes to these values. At the same time, the University is aware of the challenges facing members of its community with disabilities. UZH makes every effort to ensure that all of its students and staff have the same opportunities and receive the best possible education, regardless of their individual circumstances.
Equal Opportunities for People with Disabilities at the University of Zurich

The EDI Office works to fulfill UZH’s commitment to provide equal opportunities and ensure inclusion for individuals with disabilities at the University. These efforts are guided by UZH’s Disability Statement.

Appropriate Workplace Adaptations

No staff member may be discriminated against because they have a disability or chronic illness. UZH provides an accessible working environment for employees with a disability or chronic illness by making adaptations to their workplaces and working conditions that are appropriate for their specific needs.
Equal Opportunities for People with Disabilities at the University of Zurich

If UZH employees require any adaptations, they may consult the EDI Office. All consultations are strictly confidential. Depending on the situation, an individual may need to provide a medical certificate, or the EDI Office may need involve other UZH units. Information is never shared without an individual’s consent.

If the need arises, you may contact Benjamin Börner (see contact information above) or fill out the form for reporting barriers and limited accessibility (located on the web page below). You may also complete this form if you encounter any building-related, technical or digital barriers in your working environment or workplace.
